Is Ultrasound Or Radio Frequency Better for Skin Tightening

As we are living in the most modern era our traditional methods have been replaced by the new modern technologies. Goodbye to the old times when we did not have modern methods to cure various skin diseases, rather we used  dogmatic techniques which were less efficient as well as more laborious. The new techniques e.g ultrasound or radio frequency to reduce skin laxity have become extremely popular as their effectiveness has improved. In this article i will explain through some examples how modern techniques are helpful in curing aging and loose skin.

Ultrasound more precisely cavitation reduces skin laxity through controlled deep dermal heating without damaging the tendon resulting in a change in molecular part of the tendon structure, for the reduction in the quantity and better results in the appearance of the respective skin part.

MECHANISM

The demand  for modern skin tightening technique is increasing as people seek safe and effective alternatives to aesthetic surgical procedures to the various body parts.over the past decades radio frequency and ultrasound devices have been widely used owing to their ability to deliver controlled heat to the skin and effect unpretentious tissue tightening with minimal recovery. Microfocused ultrasound is widely used for delivering heat to the deeper subdermal tissues in tightly focused zones.

The purpose of this treatment is to reduce skin laxity at multiple levels with robust skin remodeling and a more durable clinical response. The ulthera device with precise ultrasound technology has been widely used specifically for skin tightening and lifting with little recovery or risk of complications. Methods such as cavitation and radio frequency treatment provides varying degrees of tissue wariness through the emission of controlled dermal heating. With the other traditional methods used for skin tightening several shortcomings were observed at odds with clinical results, taking longer time to recover after the surgery and last but not the least going through various surgeries unless the laxity is completely cured.

Old methods for skin tightening e.g sublative laser was causing dermal damage which stimulated the growth of collagen while cavitation is less damaging for the skin and the best part is the recovery time is very efficient.Traditional ablative laser skin resurfacing ,however , comes with a lengthy healing period after surgery and a chance of delayed pigmentation.

CONCLUSION

The wound healing cascade e.g  cavitation can be stimulated without causing epidermal injury or affecting the related clinical recovery using radio frequency devices that provide good heat into the dermis. The advantages of these methods are obvious, minimal downtime, a positive side effect profile in comparison to ablative laser skin resurfacing or surgical lifting procedures and a degree of safety for usage on non facial areas or skin of color. Targeting only the muscular system the cavitation device is able to penetrate deeper into the tissue than its non surgical predecessors in an effort to achieve improved tissue tightness and duration of outcomes. In comparison to skin alone , it has a more lasting holding property and less delayed relaxing after lifting techniques.
